Saltwater Launches New Online Press Office. April 2011.
Saltwater Communications, the global marine public relations specialist, is today (19th April 2011) delighted to announce the launch of its new online press office, www.saltwaterpr.com. The new website, which is live now, replaces the original Saltwater online press office that has been serving as a media resource and high profile client news communications channel for over a decade. It has been completely redesigned to provide journalists with even greater access to the information they require in addition to more powerful search and information request functionality.
Commenting on the development of the new site, Saltwater Director Saul Trewern said: “The original Saltwater online press office was introduced to provide journalists with a simple, straightforward way to access and receive breaking news from our clients. Likewise, the new version is designed purely as a tool for journalists. However, it has been developed from the ground-up, adding more functionality and flexibility for users while introducing a more contemporary style.”

In addition to a custom designed, streamlined, more powerful database and back-office, Saltwaterpr.com has many new features implemented to ensure journalists receive client news as it happens; via new look eshots and through on-demand searching within the online press office itself. Additions to the website include a ‘breaking news’ section on the homepage, which spotlights the most recent client news posted. Easy navigation around the news release section enables keywords, product or client names to be entered in the search bar to find information and related hi-res images on specific releases or clients, while a new exhibition page details clients attending each exhibition and may provide press information for download before and during an event.

Journalists already receiving news releases from their selected Saltwater clients and industry sectors via Saltwaterpr.com will continue to do so from the new online press office. Journalists who do not already receive Saltwater client releases via Saltwaterpr.com can sign up to the new online press office by selecting ‘Join’ and filling out the online form; stating their interests or the Saltwater clients they are interested in.

Both Saltwaterpr.com and the company’s corporate website www.saltwatercoms.com are accessed through a new welcome page providing visitors with the choice of information they require. Both sites also include direct links to Saltwater’s social media pages on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube.
